The Theme This Year Is -

“A GOOD TIME IN THE OLD TOWN”

What is EvansFest? EvansFest (formerly Evans Days) has been in existence since 1984. It was originally a family festival to celebrate Evans businesses. It’s still a family event but has expanded to include residents and businesses from all the surrounding towns.

EvansFest is held on the first Saturday after Labor Day. In 2013 this is Sept. 7th. It’s located at Riverside Park, 4000 Riverside Parkway in Evans. (Take 37th St. east to Riverside Parkway.) Some people know it as the park with the ball fields in Evans.

Evans Fest at Riverside ParkThe day always starts at 8:00 a.m. with a pancake breakfast (pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee) accompanied by live music. The EvansFest parade complete with floats, marching bands, cars and lots of kids starts after breakfast at the old Evans Fire Station and winds its way around City Park and on to Riverside Park. There you’ll find lots of vendor booths, food booths and beer, water and soda. There are kids’ games and entertainment, and a variety of continuous live music to keep everyone’s toes tapping.

The day ends around 2:00 p.m. with lots of happy people.

This is all possible due to the hard work of the Evans Area Chamber of Commerce with the invaluable help of the City of Evans Parks and Recreation Departments.

It couldn’t happen at all without the support of our many generous sponsors, many of whom have been with us from the beginning. We appreciate them and hope you do too.
